This is the original work created in grade school, I'm guessing when I was 7 or 8 years old. It looks like some kind of scratchboard process. Maybe oil pastels.
First step was creating the underlying color blocks.
inked up all blocks and printed with one pass on a Showcard table top press.
prints before adding black
This image is the black to be screened on top of the color. It was created from scanning the original, editing in Photoshop and drawing right on the printout.
Transparency to shoot on screen
screen exposed and ready to go
Final screen printing. I did two editions with two separate color schemes. This is the second edition.
first edition as part of a print exchange for MAPC Detroit.
Second edition for sale and exhibition.
